Hot-Water Extraction vs Steam Cleaning
Customers often use “steam cleaning” and “hot-water extraction” interchangeably. Professional extraction cleans by applying an appropriate solution and recovering moisture with suspended soil through vacuum extraction.

Why extraction matters
The recovery step removes loosened soil, moisture and cleaning residue. Technique, vacuum performance, solution choice and controlled passes matter more than simply seeing visible steam.
Is hotter always better?
No. Temperature must suit the carpet fibre, dye stability, soil and product. Natural fibres and delicate conditions can require a more conservative approach.
What the method cannot repair
Extraction does not reverse permanent fading, abrasion, crushed pile, dye loss or structural damage. An inspection helps separate removable soil from permanent condition issues.
