Before the appointment
- Remove small, fragile and valuable items
- Pick up toys, clothing, cords and floor-level objects
- Vacuum loose debris when practical
- Identify priority stains and explain what caused them
- Tell the cleaner about spotters or DIY products already used
- Discuss large furniture rather than moving heavy items unexpectedly
Plan safe access
Confirm parking, building entry, elevators, stairs, water or power needs and any strata or business access rules when requesting the quote.
Children and pets
Keep children and pets away from equipment, hoses, products and damp areas. Arrange a safe room or supervised location before work begins.
After cleaning
Follow ventilation guidance, minimize traffic until dry and avoid placing furniture, rugs or plastic-backed items on damp carpet unless the cleaner advises otherwise.
